IE Must Die

Its been coming for a long time, the slow painful death of IE6. As the web continues to grow and change it becomes necessary to retire those old dinosaurs who have become more of a pain to use than a benefit. As a developer its a tiring process to make sure your pages run on every browser, but if everyone just dropped support for it we could get rid of this pesky browser for good.

What It Means to be Internet Famous.

Here is a brief interview with Alice Marwick, PHD candidate at NYU. She’s studying the concept of being “Internet famous” – that is, widely known among an elite Web 2.0 crowd, but mostly unknown outside of that world. To me this is the central idea behind being a “Zero to Hero” but what does kind of applications does this have for the real world.
