One thing I read that made the most sense was that google is doing a major Advertising campaign for an upcoming movie.

Not too long ago I saw my first Google Image Ad turn into a video, and it was for a UFO movie that is coming out this fall. What ever it is I think its fun that they have been leaving little puzzles for people to create a buzz.

The first logo was Google telling us “all your base are belong to us”. The second one was “War of the Worlds”. It's impossible to see a trend with only two bits of data. So we will have to wait until it happens a 3rd time to tie them all together.

Maybe it's something far more simple and elegant? The first one was simply the 20th Anniversary of the release of Zero Wing.

Might this be to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the release of the War of the Worlds video game?

I had no idea what the weird google logos were about. That crazy, but really cool. How you worked all that out, I will never know. Any thoughts on what Google's plan is?

maybe the tractor makin the L is to signify that crop circles are man made???
