Answer Peoples Questions

I spent a few hours promoting my pages this weekend in two new ways and had some pretty good results.

I had written articles of two different types for other webpages. One kind of article was the How-To article, and the other was a review with an affiliate link.

With this as my ammunition I set out looking to get some more traffic and possibly make some affiliate sales. In a way similar to a door to door salesman.

The first place I went to was a forum where alot of my people in my niche hung out. I set up a profile and made sure to fill out every detail, the picture, website , and about. This way people could later find my page.

Next I went trolling around until I found someone who was asking a question that was relevant to one of my articles and shot them a quick reply.

Hey, ya so I was having the same problem as well. I wrote up an article that I think can help you.

You can check out at http://xxx-yyy.com.

I made sure to to be friendly, helpful and always try to address the persons questions directly rather than just copy-pasting, but I always included the link. This way they can reference it as well as future readers.

I also did this with the review articles. In one instance I found a person asking questions Yahoo Answers. There are tons of categories and questions people have. Some questions are very simple to answer too. If you were struggling for content one day. I recommend scouring through the pages of Yahoo Answers and writing up an article for them. You will find that many people ask the same question over and over again, so you will be able to quickly refer them to your page in the future.

Overall I saw a boost in traffic using this method and greatly improved my CTR on my ads.

    1. It helps the person asking the question find what they are looking for.
    2. It helps me get more targeted traffic.

As long as you set out with the goal of helping people, as well as helping yourself in the process. Then everybody wins.
